The latest in cutting edge web technology is here to solve one of those irritating problems of interactive modern day life: looking at websites on smart phones.

How many times have you looked at a website on your phone, only to find that the page is too big and clunky to view on your phone. It looks terrible, isn’t very functional and you can’t find the information you need. It can just be a minor irritation when you’re the consumer, but becomes very bad for business when it’s your commercial website that potential customers are having trouble viewing. Previously this problem was solved by having two versions of a site, one that was designed for mobile phone viewing and one for use on full screen computers.

Until now… when web design with responsive HTML makes life so much easier. Now websites can be built to adapt automatically to the width of the screen that is viewing them.

responsive HTML - narrow view
Small, narrow smart phone screen? The page slips into a new line up to fit. Nice big viewing screen? The layout spreads out comfortably to fill the page. These two screen shots show exactly the same web page in different sized viewing windows.

responsive HTML - wide view
You can have a look at this on our new D-vision video production website. To see how it works, keep changing the size of the viewing window, as in the screenshots above. Make it tall and narrow, then expand it to fill the screen. You’ll notice how the layout is constantly adapting to find the best combination and make everything easily viewable. One website, multiple viewing formats – all possible with responsive HTML.
