Carbon neutral scooter safariWhen journalist Melissa Andrews contacted us with a view to our sponsoring a carbon neutral scooter safari around South Africa, we were intrigued. It sounded a great match for our own carbon neutral policy and a worthy project to support.

She and her husband, photographer Christopher List, will be travelling around SA on LML/Vespa scooters in a bid to raise awareness of sustainable living and eco-friendly travel and raising money for Food and Trees For Africa. Both qualified and experienced permaculture practitioners, they’ll be planting trees as they go and volunteering at various permaculture and food-growing projects en route.

In need of a printer with an eco-friendly ethos, Melissa approached Deep Design for sponsorship of the supporting printed materials including business cards, flyers and stickers, printed using our vegetable based inks on recycled paper and energy efficient presses. Now it is all ready for its carbon neutral journey, as the departure date draws near.

Melissa and Christopher kick off on 1st June. We’re looking forward to following their trip on their blog and seeing just how green South Africa can be.
